I can smell the grind.
Curious to know what the factions will be...
So it looks like Zenimax has given up pretenses of caring about their IP and are gearing up for full milking now. Awesome, last good fantasy world has been properly put to death.
Curious to know what the factions will be...
Ebonheart Pact (Nords, Dunmer & Argonians) Aldmeri Dominion (Altmer, Bosmer & Khajiit) Daggerfall Covenant (Bretons, Redguards & Orcs)
The gameplay better play like a normal Elder Scrolls game, and not those hotkeys point/click MMOs.
So it looks like Zenimax has given up pretenses of caring about their IP and are gearing up for full milking now. Awesome, last good fantasy world has been properly put to death.
So let's see, Middle Earth was turned into wizard flamethrower action world, Warcraft was turned into Super Amazing Anime Megabusterpro Sentai Land, Dragon Age was turned into hot topic broody bisexual faffabout town, Neverwinter Nights was dropped down a well and forgotten, and Warhammer Fantasy is caught in a sea of inescapable mediocrity. So that leaves us with Dark Souls, The Witcher, and team ICO's stuff I guess.
Who's voice is that again? Gambon?
Ebonheart Pact (Nords, Dunmer & Argonians) Aldmeri Dominion (Altmer, Bosmer & Khajiit) Daggerfall Covenant (Bretons, Redguards & Orcs)
Okay now, I know they needed to fit them all together, but didn't the Orcs only come out of Orsinium as non bad guys after the events of Arena? And isn't the Nord's history comprised entirely of them killing everyone who isn't a Nord, except for that one snow elf?
Is that faction list real Oh my god Argonians and Dunmer You know, no big deal, just enslaved you lizard folks for hundreds of years, and then you lizard guys invaded our homeland for that, we can forgive that. Oh yeah, and you Nords have been having a racial feud with us for almost as long, but it's okay because who actually cares about our game's story

They need to bring back the respectable Dunmer from Morrowind, at the very least. Those niggas gave no shits and cursed out anyone.
I honestly dont think this will be good, and I fucking love the TES games.
They need to bring back the respectable Dunmer from Morrowind, at the very least. Those niggas gave no shits and cursed out anyone.
I want to see the motherfucking Telvanni
Telvanni had little respect for anyone other than themselves, including other members of House Telvanni. They prefered to build their towers without stairs, forcing visitors to bring some sort of levitation magic. This not only granted them more seclusion, but acted as a sort of test to see if their visitors were worthy.

In the Third Era, House Telvanni had a plan to peacefully occupy all uninhabited parts of Vvardenfell in their own distinctive way. Any major construction projects in Vvardenfell required the consent of the Duke of Ebonheart, which was patently hard to obtain, and all other organizations who were not particularly friendly to the Empire struggled to gain terrirory in that system. The Telvanni, however, had no fear or respect towards Imperial law, and younger House Telvanni retainers awere frequently sent, occasionally with a contingent of slaves, to build their towers across the remote regions of Vvardenfell, never asking or informing anyone. According to the House's plan, as the towers grew to towns, most of Vvardenfell would de facto become theirs. Almost all Telvanni were powerful, wealthy wizards, and could protect themselves against the law, but such expansion was a danger for all other Great Houses. As a result, the other Houses sometimes attacked less-protected Telvanni outposts.
Oh, wait, I forgot about this part:
According to his description, the Argonian forces murdered the Telvanni without impunity. Their genocide was so great that as of 4E 201, Brand-Shei, the son of Lymdrenn, is the only known surviving member of House Telvanni.
Remember that under that faction thing (idk if it's real or not, being hypothetical) that these people would be allies.
http://i.cubeupload.com/PCJWh5.jpg Quick picture I made showing my theory on the unlikely alliances. Ebonheart Pact (Nords, Dunmer & Argonians) GREEN in the picture Aldmeri Dominion (Altmer, Bosmer & Khajiit) BLUE in the picture Daggerfall Covenant (Bretons, Redguards & Orcs) RED in the picture V:v:V No idea if it was divided like this 1000 years ago though.
I just hope it won't end up as badly as every MMO these days. Because since Dark Millennium isn't an MMO, this is what I'm waiting for.
I absolutely hate trailers like this. OH WOW A PRERENDERED ANIMATED LOGO HOW FUCKING EXCITING
-Third person perspective -The game uses a hotbar to activate skills like other traditional MMOs -Visually it looks like other Hero Engine MMOs like SWTOR -The general art style is kind of like RIFT or Everquest 2 -"Recreateing the freedom Elder Scrolls players expect within the World of Warcraft-style mechanics Zenimax Online is using for this MMO would be impossible without changing the way that players interact with the world." -The game uses MMORPG genre standards such as classes, experience points, and other traditional MMORPG progression mechanics, but they try to present it "around the core fantasy presented by traditiona Elder Scrolls games" such as traveling around and righting wrongs or seeking riches -The combat model will not be real time due to latency
We get another shitty WoW clone. GO. FUCK. YOURSELVES.
Is there a better source than that?
:(
No real-time combat... NO REAL-TIME COMBAT! GOOD BYE TES:O
No real-time combat... NO REAL-TIME COMBAT! GOOD BYE TES:O
This mmo is being worked on by zenimax online (not the people who actually make tes games) so don't worry about tes being doomed.
