I'm sorry for all those who could lose their jobs, but it serves GAME right, as they were downright cunts when it came to PC games - they always tried to insist on exclusivity, and bullied their position as the only major game supplier around. Now the competition from Amazon and the like has kicked their ass.
Shit, I have £6.30 to spend on my loyalty card. Better go get something tomorrow.
Worrying stuff. We have a whole lotta GAME stores here in Denmark and i wouldn't want to see them go away so theres only Gamestop left...

At least you'll still have a dedicated game retailer, if GAME goes the UK's left without one but I forgot they're super duper evil and it's not people spouting bollocks.

Yep, no such thing as CEX, GameStop or GameStation. GAME is one of the most recognised brands on the high street and administration does not mean the end of the company either.
Here in Newcastle the stocks in both GAME stores are fucking awful, this was obviously going to happen eventually.
Although it is a shame to see GAME on the edge of the cliff.

There are two in metro center about 5 minutes apart and they both stock the exact same shit, whats the point, there is even a Gamestation about 30 seconds away from one of them..

CEX is a second-hand seller, and they're certainly not dedicated game-sellers either.

They sell new games too. Or at least my one does. You can't even buy computer hardware in there anymore, just games consoles and DVDs.

Wait what...Where is your one?
Honestly, all the ones near me just sell second-hand stuff.

I'd imagine so, I forgot to mention those, I was thinking of the one in Fenwicks and the other one in Eldon Square. Although I must say the PC section in Fenwicks is better than the Eldon Square one.

CEX isn't dedicated, where the fuck's a GameStop and I imagine Gamestation'll go down given that they're owned by Gameplay.
The UK still gets GameStop.
I bought Skyrim (PC) for £20 in GAME, Steam was charging me £35.
The UK still gets GameStop.
The UK doesn't really have any GameStop stores. The only stores are in Ireland.

There's a few of them in England.
Yep, no such thing as CEX, GameStop or GameStation.
Gamestation AND GameStop are owned by GAME.
(It's a little contrived, just trust me on this one)

I hear that, I walk through Eldon Square every day and sometimes decide to take a peek in, nothing every changes and the PC section is growing every smaller.

GAME own Gamestation, but not Gamestop.

one will spring up now that there's no company to run them into the ground

They were in the process of shutting down all their stores in the UK to start selling solely online, not sure if this will change things though.
Also Game are selling Mass Effect 3! Oh wait...

Oh, well I'm in Northern Ireland, so that makes sense.
They should have moved with the times instead of trying to keep their physical stores. They decided to mess about with Steam instead of actually competing. Bad management...
