Two men complain about the Battlefield Hardline beta

Won't make DLC for BF4 until its fixed? Fuck it, make it a new game.
After Bad Company 2 something changed for the worse.
Instead of focusing on making a decent enough game they started focusing on pushing a product that would appeal to the lowest common denominator in an attempt to steal some of Call of Duty's profits.
do you guys remember when the announcement of battlefield 3 was hype as fuck, because the last 'battlefield' game we got was BF2 (ignoring bad company, which was an interesting distraction from the original series)
do you remember when it wasn't an embarrassing yearly release shit
because I do
just don't buy it wow it's not hard
don't post in the thread wow it's not hard
I still think Bad Company 2 has been the best Battlefield game so far. Yeah it didn't have prone, but it still had the feel of Battlefield. The sillyness, the different weapons that feel unique, it felt like BF, and BF hasn't felt like BF since
Hardline just feels like a $60 Patch for Battlefield 4. We're paying full retail game price for a fucking Patch/DLC now. Great
JESUS. IT JUST GOT ANNOUNCED AND HAS ONLY BEEN IN DEVELOPMENT FOR SIX FUCKING MONTHS.
All of your untwist your metaphorical panties. FUCK.
It was in development before DeadSpace 3 was released according to the wikipedia.
They aren't forcing you to buy it you know.
doesn't make it any less shit?
It was obvious from the start that the game wouldn't work. What they shown in the E3 gameplay required teamwork, which is not going to happen at all and they are seriously over-estimating the capabilities of most Battlefield players if they think it would be anything like that. It seems like with each new Battlefield game the series gets worse, as if DICE don't understand what made the previous games (as in BF1942, BF2 and BF2142) good and completely miss the point.

I remember playing it at E3 and being hyped as fuck. Then I actually bought it and played it.
No commander mode, no squad teamwork (let alone matching your squad perks), small maps, and no real base.
My least favorite memory is the time I was flying the huey in that trainyard map and I was trying to drop team members off at a particular objective point and I told them to get out and they wouldn't get out. In BF2 people wouldn't hesitate to get out!
Completely true. Battlefield Hardline is fucking expansion and NOT a full game.
Fuck you Dice, and fuck you EA, you money grabbing pieces of shits. We could have made this ourself if you released modding tools, but oh no, WE NEED MONEY.
Thank you for ruining a GREAT game series.
people say this exact stuff though every single time an overpriced expansion comes out, why are people still surprised
[editline]22nd June 2014[/editline]
Also since I'm pageking I'd like to say the battlefield trailers are the most unrealistic demonstration of actual gameplay i've ever fucking seen
They aren't forcing you to buy it you know.
no I think we should complain when company's keep trying to pull this kinda of bullshit.

lol not it hasn't there were rumours flying around of a swat battlefield beginning development years ago
I find it amazing that this turned out to be a bigger money-grab than Payday 2.
And I'm not refering to the gameplay here.
Had a friend who doesn't play games, and she thought "beta" means expansion or extension.
Little did we know she was correct.

You're complaining there was no squad teamwork when you weren't even playing with people you know.

"don't call it shit because it's optional shit!!!"

Because we should all cease to care when something beloved to us begins to crash and burn. we should all simply look the other way and forget all of the fun times this thing brought us and the potential that deep down at it's core it still has to continue to bring us more of them. we should all turn a deaf ear when the people in control of this see us quietly return our wallets to our persons and walk out the door. broadcasting our unwillingness to even talk about the issue and have them get it in their heads to say "well, maybe we should just stop all together." thus dropping it into it's casket long before it's time. ruled as a failure by them that cannot entertain anyone any longer, never to be seen again.
Shame on us for actually giving a fuck.
Hardline is just going to split BF4 players.

Hasn't Battlefield always been on a 1-2 year release cycle?
Personally, I think the game's pretty fun. But especially since I'm in Canada, there's just no way I can justify the $70 ($79.10 when you factor in sales tax) for the base game. Different game, but if I can buy Dark Souls 2 and the DLC for less than the base game, there's a problem with the pricing, I think.
It plays nicer than BF4 I've found. It runs a lot better and there's a shitton less bugs, and Blood Money is a legitimately really fun game mode. But, it feels like a rebalanced and bug fixed BF4 with a DLC or two worth of new content thrown in, sold for full price. It's really eh. Not enough to make me angry (really, what is there to get angry about?), but it's kinda disappointing, though, if you're still expecting anything after BF3 Premium you're only going to get shafted.
I'd dare say a keyword lies in the title alone - Battlefield.
While a city can turn into a battlefield-esque scenario in movies when the robbers are trying to escape, it just doesn't work in a game that has dedicated more than a decade to massive, open maps with top-notch military hardware at your disposal. If I wanted to play cops and robbers, I'd play Payday 2 or some kind of mod for a source game.
HAhahahahaahhahahahha - I just watched that trailer.
It looks fucking dreadful.
Battlefield 3... it was all going so well....
I'd rather they kept on updating BF3 and giving expansions. Wouldn't make it into the BF CoD where the last games goes dead after the next one is released.
It's a fun little game, but they think it's a lot better than it is, and it's definitely not worth the price.
My boycott still exist, and I think the new dragon age game going to be a cloak and dagger or bait and switch... It be as bad as this battlefield hardline and battlefield 4... I'll laugh if sims 4 was introduced with DRM always Online.
Unfortunately this game is probably going to sell well enough for them to continue ruining the Battlefield series with things like this. A new Bad Company game would of been much better but considering the state of the last few Battlefield games, perhaps it's a good thing that there hasn't been another one yet.
Also since I'm pageking I'd like to say the battlefield trailers are the most unrealistic demonstration of actual gameplay i've ever fucking seen
I think Eve Online takes that cake. Eve's trailers are incredible, especially the older ones, but they are so far removed from what the game looks and plays like that they're nothing more than short films set in the Eve universe. Every time I a new one would come out and I would watch it, all I was left with was the thought, "I wish I could play the game in the trailers."
The Kickstarter failed to meet its goal, so EA hired the developers to let them make their cops and robbers game, resulting in Battlefield Hardline. I fail to see how EA is the bad guy when they let the developers make exactly what they wanted.
[editline]20th June 2014[/editline]
Their promotional video even sounds exactly like Battlefield Hardline. If anything, this should be the fault of the developers for making a Battlefield 4 mod rather than EA being evil.
It didn't fail, EA bought them and they canceled the kickstarter.
