Wait, didn't we have that already with TF2? Oh wait, that's the game that looks, feels and plays like an F2P but costs $20.
Is global agenda good? It looks kinda unbalanced.
Alliance of Valiant Arms looks good actually
It's free to play so obviously there's some kind of in-game shop Can anybody tell me how necessary or not necessary it is? If it's not necessary to play competitively or it's at least fairly inexpensive I might try it out

Skills is what you need to win this game not money so that's really good!
I remember playing A.V.A., liked it a lot, especially the missions where you have to escort a tank. I'd say A.V.A. is Combat Arms done right.
Oh hey I remember A.V.A. It suffers heavily from pay to win though
I don't think it suffers with pay to win, all you pay for is to get weapons earlier than everyone else so it's really just throwing money away instead of being a little patient, the game isn't that grindy and the best weapon(in my opinion, the AK74M) is obtainable very early. The weapons you get initially are good too, I played very well with them.

AvA is pretty good. Especially now when it got released on Steam. I hated to use that damn ijji launcher tool crap.
Argh, just installed A.V.A. and a few minutes in they shut down for maintenance. Or not.
Is spiral knights any good?
I hope Forsaken World is worth the play. I signed up for the closed beta, but never actually got in.
I've played AVA a bit a few months ago. Game is pretty fun for a free game. Graphics are good, combat is similar to Counter Strike but feels like COD. Worth a shot but for me it got boring after 20 hours. [editline]14th June 2011[/editline] Gonna uinstall the ijji launcher and AVA, then reinstall via Steam! Spiral Knights too probably.
what about Alien Swarm,Moonbase Alpha and Trackmania?
Is spiral knights any good?
Spiral Knights is a decent game, but it's no where near free to play. By the time you actually get into the game your energy is gone (IE. What you use to go to dungeons, you know, to actually play the game) and it drains every time you go deeper. You also don't get a lot if you wait for your supply to increase. You're forced to either buy energy with real money or waste all your ingame money on it.
The APB team is apparently talking with Valve about adding it to this as well.
I hope Forsaken World is worth the play. I signed up for the closed beta, but never actually got in.
It's just another grindfest Korean MMO like their Perfect World game
I hope they add Runes of Magic to steam.
The APB team is apparently talking with Valve about adding it to this as well.
fuck yeah.
I tried out Global Agenda. Apparently my GPU isn't on the cool list. :smith:
i hope they add combat arms best f2p fps i've ever played!
I bought Global Agenda almost a year ago when it wasn't F2P, and I loved it. Then they added Sandstorm and it became even more awesome. I'd highly suggest playing it.
Valve better put APB in there.
Gonna try AVA first and then probably Global Agenda Only two I'm interested in and I don't mind spending a little in cash shops as long as it's balanced and the game is good enough to be worth it
I hear ARMA II is going f2p
I hear ARMA II is going f2p
The multiplayer half.
The multiplayer half.
With lowest graphics, no mod support, and a lot of other stuff. Still worth getting the full game. But the free version is pretty nice I heard.
i hope they add combat arms best f2p fps i've ever played!
League of legends would be pretty cool too.
Well I think AVA is pretty good although nothing I would shell out a ton of money for. Gameplay is really good to me it's just that a lot of the maps are really crappy.
Wow all these games are awesome, I love Spiral Knights. Thank you Valve.
Aww Ava is unavailable in my region :saddowns: At least Spiral Knights is, that looks fun.
AVA and Forsaken World are unavailable in my region, anyone know what's up with that?
