It's incredibly hard to fuck it up. LEGO is harder because everything fits everywhere. GPU only fits in PCI-E slot. RAM only fits in the DIMM slots. CPU only goes in one way to the socket. If you get a locked Intel CPU (like the one in this PC) the cooler literally clips in.

The only place where you can plug things in wrong is the motherboard I/O header. Fuck that header.

It's investing a couple hours of time to save a couple hundred on a four-digit purchase you're probably gonna use quite a lot for a few years - and probably end up with a better result, to top it off.

also my current PC is from Aldi, or at least the chassis which is all that's left of the original. everything else has since been upgraded :v:
