But people will because they're too lazy and stupid to actually look into anything these days.

But.. wouldn't that be a selling point? GTA-like game set in the 60-70's, I'd love that.

Primary issue being people are gonna act like you lied about it after it comes out. People could also take it as you literally made a rip-off and you're proud of it.
the thing about mafia II was that it was quite a serious game, it wasnt the kind of game where you would just go and shoot up people or steal cars for shits and giggles, it was more like LA Noire in that you actually took it seriously and played it in a sense "propperly" I just hope that they get it right with mafia III, that it has the same kind of atmosphere and gives players the desire to live out the life of a fictional character in a realistic sense
My favorite thing about Mafia 2 in comparison to GTAV is that I can keep my cars in Singleplayer. I managed to use the starting car you steal all the way through the game.
It's good to see that they're admitting GTA V was a project that took nearly a decade to produce and it was a "one off" kind of deal. To expect every major open world game to live up to that standard would be insane.

[editline]11th August 2015[/editline] (the 100+ hours are on a CSGO alt because R* social club was being a dick and had my steam account locked to a R*account I had no way of accessing)
Isn't GTA2 set in the 70s already?
GTA2 is set "3 weeks into the future".
Isn't GTA2 set in the 70s already?
GTA2 is actually set in a pseudo-cyberpunk future in the year 2000s.
