No crafterino, I prefer a solid loot 'n' shoot farming experience. Destiny has taught me that grinding for parts/materials is far more boring than farming bosses or unique enemies for gear.
The grinder in pre-sequel made it laughably easy to acquire good gear.
i can't believe i spent full price on the pre-sequel and unless a meteor hits the fucking earth and obliterates all of gearbox's BL assets so that they have to start fresh, i'm out
How about instead of RNG guns you instead collect parts and make your own gun?
thats kinda the opposite of the whole looting thing that the games are based around
the most youll get is the grinder in tps
I think you can look at the evolution of BL1 into BL2 to get a rough estimate of what BL3 will (should?) be. BL2 really did polish up quite a lot about BL1 that sucked, and in spite of the "memelands" reputation it was a genuinely fun game to stomp through in coop. Yes the story is nonsensical, yes the gorillion guns gimmick is tiresome, yes the characters mostly suck but as a meat and potatoes FPS it was solid enough. That being said if BL3 really just ends up as an extension of and not an evolution from BL2 it'll be garbage. There are definitely things they could do to keep the game fresh.
Also if you're going to shit fling at the writing there are plenty of actual things to critique about Borderlands 2 other than "muh memes". Chief amongst them in my opinion being the bipolar tone of the whole game. You can't just go from ZANY AND WACKY to please take this seriously.

Unreal Engine 4 exists now, too. I would be surprised if they didn't put it on UE4.
BL3? Time for pitchford to extort money out of 2k meant for the next duke nukem game to fund it
the writers wont have much to do, all they need to do is find the latest sick memes on reddit
I dunno how much may-may stuff was in Borderlands 2, but if it was as massive as some people make it out to be, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to sneak in a parody of that goddamn Javert thing that's been scuttling around on imgur lately.

There were about 4, maybe 5 lines of meme-related dialogue (that wasn't intrusive or anything even) and people went from there and made it out like every line was some internet meme.
When I play the game I completely forget about that stupid drama until someone says a line related to a meme and then I remember "oh, yeah, that. People got upset over that?"
It's stupid nerd pissy fit bullshit said by people who haven't played the game.
I dont give a shit, Borderlands 2 was awesome and im looking forward Borderlands 3.
Gameplay wise, I fucking loved it.
Story wise, Antony Burch, Really no more needs to be said.
The meme jokes people make about BL2 are way, way, way way fucking overstated.
I've played that game a lot and you have to look for the memes, so what if they're there if you have to look for most of them
But I wouldn't mind there being less of them in BL3.
I would also really appreciate if Gearbox looked at taking a more active approach in their design. Give us some more abilities, give us cooler guns, give us armor, and give us proper difficulty curves/health scaling.
I just want a Borderlands game that is consistently fun through all levels. It seems particularly in BL2 and The Pre-Sequel that you are punished at high levels by having to slog through enemies with ridiculous amounts of healthpoints.
As for the same tired meme shitposts, I will just link this like I do every Borderlands thread because FP just cannot get the fuck over it.
I'm ready for Borderlands 3 if they would change a few things including, like many people already stated, less bullet sponges as enemies. Don't think many people enjoy shooting a single enemy for several minutes because none of my bazillion guns are effective against anything. Also, I want less bazillion guns and more unqique guns, it claims to have so many guns but they're all pretty much the same apart from a few minor stats changes.

Instead of bullet sponge stronger enemies, but the same amount, they should have stronger enemies that don't get into bullet sponge territories and just have more enemies. In a game about tons of guns, it would make sense to have tons of enemies to shoot.
I'm of two minds. I'd either like then to embrace the plot that the presequel ends on [sp]war is coming, aquire a crew of MANY vault hunters.[/sp] or skip all that scifi space-epic Bullshit and turn Borderlands 3 into Bunkers and Badasses the game.
The combat of that Borderlands2 fantasy expansion was incredibly fun, just give me an entertaining dungeon master this time. Throw money at Stamper and make him the DM. BAM, game of the year.
I think the notion of traveling to other planets could be pretty interesting. Like, if the endings of Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel have anything to say about that, including the Gortys project from Tales, I think that planetary travel will be a good idea.
For example, start on Pandora, and revisit Fyrestone, the Highlands, Sanctuary, the Dust, Opportunity, and the Slab Area. I really want to actually walk up to the memorials for Roland, Bloodwing, etc.
After that, move onto Elpis, and introduce the Oz Kits again. After that, more planets could be traveled to, like Eden-5, other moons, Hermes, Aquator. I'd really like to see the Oz Kits used on the underwater areas on Aquator.

To be honest, it was more 2K Australia game than anything.
Blame them for Borderlands 2.5 (and for this annoying little piece of shit Pickle)
Gonna be honest, when BL1 came out, I bought it, played it with friends, had a blast. When BL2 came out, my little brother got it in PS3, and I was like "these controls are shit I'll just buy it for cheap on PC when it comes to Steam sale"
The issue is that I honestly just got tired of the same shit over and over again. I couldn't even be assed to buy my friends BL1 to play and we never started until Gamespy died and the Borderlands Granting Tool was made so all I had to do was sign into their accounts and use my retail copy for free vidya games.
I mean sure, we don't have any of the DLC, but that's fine because I doubt we're going to be ready to do them any time soon.
