Why Wildstar is like HBO: "We are probably the most fair subscription model on the market"
fair enough
at least do it like loadout did it then I guess and maybe like 1 or 2 maps
You're talking about an MMO though, not an arena shooter.
back in the day, WoW let you play for free if you had a guestpass (what player wasn't covered in spares though), and capped you at lv 7.
The only way for you to try WildStar now is to either be lucky to get into the final beta or know someone with WildStar guest passes which grants you 7 days unrestricted access.
There is literally no word on any try-out/demo feature for people who just want to know what it is or to just feel if it fits you.

with loadout you pay for extra cloths and really thats it, and loadout slots, and the more you play the more of those you get to a limited degree free
I think it'd work great, if you tweaked the idea a bit at least
But you can't get HBO without a basic cable/satellite subscription so you're getting ripped off regardless.

So far as I can recall, there will be an Open Beta.
As much as I appreciate their CREDD system I can see this game potentially going F2P in the future. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, bit given how its a new IP, itll be hard to attract the subscribers it needs.
That said I'll be buying and subbing day one, I love this game! Well worth it IMO.

I mean, it'd be like Call of Duty or any other game saying "Well, you can have assault rifles for free, but you have to pay more to be able to use shotguns."
