I can't see what people see in this game; the singleplayer looks like a generic third person shooter, with space marines. Multiplayer looks like Quake or Unreal Championship 2.
Chainswords Fucking swords That are also chainsaws Also Space Marines
Only 16 players? Damn it.
I want to play as a Chaos Marine and just shout into the mic all game "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'M A NOISE MARINE AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
Yep, goodbye hearing.
playing as Orkz would have been great
It's honestly quite possible that Relic or a THQ studio will make another 40k action game now that they have the engine for it. I fucking love the engine so far from what i've seen. [editline]6th August 2011[/editline]
Only 16 players? Damn it.
8 v 8 kind of works for a game like that.
8 v 8 kind of works for a game like that.
If it is marketed as Warhammer 40K game, I and propably many more will expect large battles, not some mere skirmishes. But there is still time them to change to little bigger skirmish, like 64 vs. 64 :v:
Why does everyone look so ridiculous in Warhammer 40,000 (Or more importantly, why did GW come up with such a high fucking number for a year?)?
I can finally play as an individual Space Marine. First day buy for me [editline]6th August 2011[/editline]
Why does everyone look so ridiculous in Warhammer 40,000 (Or more importantly, why did GW come up with such a high fucking number for a year?)?
Because everything in 40k is badass
I want a gamemode where furry players have to be exterminated.
I'm itching for Ork hordes
The multiplayer certainly doesn't look like the main selling point. It looks like it's done for the check-mark, so you don't feel like you have done everything possible in the game after completing the story. MP really doesn't look special, it hasn't taken priority over SP. If it had, of course we'd see vehicles and Orkz and maybe Eldar, and more game modes and more classes and weapons and stuff. The MP is just so it's there and you couldn't say otherwise.

[editline]6th August 2011[/editline]
I want a gamemode where furry players have to be exterminated.
Great now I have to dig around for the Advice Marine picture.
I would have hoped for more classes like terminators and librarians/sorcerers, though I suppose you get 1 troop, 1 heavy support and 1 fast attack which are the main unit types.
Why does everyone love Iron Warriors?
Thousand Sons or the Night Lords is where it's at. [editline]6th August 2011[/editline]
Why does everyone look so ridiculous in Warhammer 40,000 (Or more importantly, why did GW come up with such a high fucking number for a year?)?
You call Warhammer ridiculous? Heretic. [editline]6th August 2011[/editline]
I would have hoped for more classes like terminators and librarians/sorcerers, though I suppose you get 1 troop, 1 heavy support and 1 fast attack which are the main unit types.
Terminators would be a bit unbalanced, as they're the best rank/best armor a marine can get. Librarians and sorcerers would be pretty cool, i suppose.
Black Templars Fuck yea
Why does everyone look so ridiculous in Warhammer 40,000
Coming from a guy with an girly looking anime avatar. Besides, most people in 40k look like average humans. The bulk of the armed forces of the Imperium of Man are composed of unmodified human soldiers.

No Eldar? No playing as a Bloodthirster or some other overpowered chaos daemon? No vehicle's?! NO ANYTHING?!

Now that I think about it, a Battlefield or Red Orchestra style wh40k game would be pretty fucking awesome.
I'll start a clan called rainbow marines. We will be fearsome.
There's already Rainbow Warriors. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Rainbow_Warriors
Now that I think about it, a Battlefield or Red Orchestra style wh40k game would be pretty fucking awesome.
That's quite the understatement.
There's already Rainbow Warriors. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Rainbow_Warriors
This can be their theme song:
Kind of ruined it by taking the lazy bullshit way and making the OPFOR Chaos marines.
It's the pretty logical choice, allows it to fit into 40K and still be balanced for a game.
If it is marketed as Warhammer 40K game, I and propably many more will expect large battles, not some mere skirmishes. But there is still time them to change to little bigger skirmish, like 64 vs. 64 :v:
Unless the maps were made extremely huge, it'd be nothing but a clusterfuck.
I would have hoped for more classes like terminators and librarians/sorcerers, though I suppose you get 1 troop, 1 heavy support and 1 fast attack which are the main unit types.
Personally, I like the simplicity of it, it's just get in there, shoot and kill, Terminators, Librarians etc would just make it all the more complicated for not much benefits
I want to play as a Chaos Marine and just shout into the mic all game "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'M A NOISE MARINE AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
You have to play gay pr0n in the background or it's not really a Noise Marine.
Unless the maps were made extremely huge, it'd be nothing but a clusterfuck. Personally, I like the simplicity of it, it's just get in there, shoot and kill, Terminators, Librarians etc would just make it all the more complicated for not much benefits
Well of course maps would be bigger aswell. If the whole thing would be like Red Orchestra, I'd die as a happy man. Imperial Guard/Heretics as basic infantry, Space Marines/Chaos SM restricted to some limit, tank crew members also limited and vast maps with LOUDSA players. Also Orks would be nice too as another faction in MP.
Now that I think about it, a Battlefield or Red Orchestra style wh40k game would be pretty fucking awesome.
Good things there's a WH40k mod for RO2! :v:
Its coming for PC right? That means a chance we are getting mods right? And maybe vehicles, planes, increased player amount. THINK OF ALL THE POSSIBILITIES!
That means a chance we are getting mods right? And maybe vehicles, planes, increased player amount.
Yes, nope, nope, maybe. Heavily doubt anything more than a higher cap and some new skins will ever be modded into the game.
Blood for the fuckin' Blood God.
