This really seems only useful on consoles, in lieu of mods.
More content from the Developer Week. Hopefully we'll get to see flails next. They were featured the video (though not actually mentioned, you can however see it when it mentioned cloth physics. The character is standing on a cliff swinging it around), and if they can do flails, I can make a whip and go full Castlevania mode.
This really seems only useful on consoles, in lieu of mods.
The thing is that some people (like me) prefer official things like this because it is more likely of a higher quality than a mod that a single person made. That isn't to say that all mods are like that, but generally speaking it is true.
Its also going to be more compatible in the long run because of the official nature, where as the distribution of mods means that incompatibility can be overlooked or ignored. Similarly, you don't have to worry about updates breaking things as much.
There is a mod to make your Own Home https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLo-vSKYiNE But as far as I know, you can only build it in one place, while this DLC, seems to you can build the house in multiple locations.

Build Your Own Home exists because they showed off the idea first.
I don't remember seeing build your own home int eh dev week video, but I can believe that.
I don't remember seeing build your own home int eh dev week video, but I can believe that.
Adoption is featured at 1:45, and the house creation is immediately after it.
Why couldn't they have added this DLC at the games launch, and not milk people afterwards?
I'd feel sorry for any kid I end up adopting, they'd get made fun of so much. "HAHA YOU HAVE TWO LIZARD DADS WHAT A DUNCE" At least I'd be able to beat up their dads no problem.
Why the fuck would I pay extra to add adoption of those annoying brats? v:v:v
You don't. You download the mod that allows you to adopt the children from Riften.
Why couldn't they have added this DLC at the games launch, and not milk people afterwards?
Because then as I understand you, it becomes Day 1 DLC. At least it's not as expensive as Dawngaurd.
Why couldn't they have added this DLC at the games launch, and not milk people afterwards?
Because it wasn't created until after the game launched. Watch that little video I posted above. Everything in that was done after the game was released.
I gotten bored of Skyrim for a while. Haven't played it in months.
The one thing about mods is that any new voice acting is usually not very good, if there even is any. Lip syncing isnt very good in any mods with voice acting either. However in a DLC, its just as good as the rest of the game
Why couldn't they have added this DLC at the games launch, and not milk people afterwards?
Because it wasn't done. It was made after release. [editline]28th August 2012[/editline] I didn't notice page 2
Ahaha, good job ruining it for me microsoft.

A housing DLC. How disappointing. Why wouldn't I just install one of the bazillion different house mods out there? And how the hell does this sort of mod fit into Skyrim anyway? I gave so little of a shit about the roleplaying aspect of Skyrim. It was terrible. If its like any house mod I have ever installed I will spend several hours buying everything, and then spend 10 minutes looking around at what I have got, placing decorations everywhere. And then I will only ever enter the house to put shit in my chests after that.
Bethesda made a deal with Microsoft that the first 2 DLCs would have 1-month exclusivity. This seems like a way to get that over with so the next substantial DLC gets a simultaneous release.
Yeah this is primarily for console players who don't have access to mods I think. So it doesn't matter much to me that we get it later.
i like dlcs like those becuase for me house mods etc always felt clumsy [editline]28th August 2012[/editline] i dont know about you but frostcrag spire or whatever it was called for oblivion was really damn cool
Why wouldn't I just install one of the bazillion different house mods out there?
If you haven't noticed yet, let me point it out: Bethesda are very clearly- and unambiguously- focusing their DLC for the 360.
Looking forward to the "Do your chores" shout.
At least it's only 5 bucks.
watch it be free on PC and PS3
yep cause like when I play Skyrim, I want to play house and raise a child not run up a mountain and stab fuckers in the chest
yep cause like when I play Skyrim, I want to play house and raise a child not run up a mountain and stab fuckers in the chest
It is a roleplaying game, why not have some extra side stuff to do if you get board of adventuring?
Well they said that you'd have to defend your home, I know that they might get some bad press over this but maybe, just maybe, that means that any children you can adopt would be in actual danger, and thus killable? Ah, I can hope.
you'd never see this bullshit in Fallout, lemme tell you what.
you'd never see this bullshit in Fallout, lemme tell you what.
Well, I think you feasibly could, it's just that they decided not to so they could spend more time on large-budget content. Although there was a really bullshit DLC move in three.
I gotten bored of Skyrim for a while. Haven't played it in months.
skyrim was without a doubt the most overrated game of 2012 as far as most people were concerned it was the fucking second coming all I played was a boring game
And again it is Xbox exclusive. yes Bethesda, I really am that pissed about Dawnguard being two months late for PS3 players.
