There's already enough cheaters. I don't want more with unlimited alts
Didn't they say from now on they're not locking important shit behind DLC anymore? Maybe they're preparing for a Year 2 like Siege is getting.

Yeah, the micro transactions are cosmetic only anyway
There's plenty of free cosmetic shit in the game anyway. Almost too much
Didnt they say on release that this would happen eventually?
It actually was there since release with the ability to buy additional outfit items and uniforms.
there already are pseudo-microtransactions-for-costumes already. They're under "DLC" lists in the game store, but you just buy stuff to get hats. This is just more of these, but with an in-game premium currency. I don't mind it - nothing's going to beat a good old pom-pom hat. Although a normal backpack - not the one that goes only over one shoulder - would be nice to see.

The game had a really rocky release with plenty of weird decisions, bad decisions, and overall left a really bad taste - a well deserved one, I agree, but they actually tried to fix the title instead of leaving it to die. If hats4cash are a thing that'll allow me to get more free content updates, I'm more than happy to have them in my game.
A terrible game on release that deserved its bad grades and top spots in the lists of worst games, but also a great story of how to dig your way out of a landfill you created and reach alright-levels of quality. I hope people don't try to spin premium currency into something way more than it really is.

It always happens, people are just too blind

That's way too harsh IMO, I really enjoyed The Division, I played it with a group on launch, and every large update since.
Sure it has its issues (it feeling an inch deep in all the wrong ways, and a mile wide in other ways), but overall a great experience.
Does that mean you can finally take off the glasses if you have put them on in the character creator?
