• Counter Strike Unofficially Ported to Android Devices

After playing it for a while, it is a large improvement from the last version I tried (it was like a week or so ago). More maps, more options to mess with, I can now move the shoot button, change some other stuff, use the keyboard. More improvement? Hell yeah, this might end up being legit CS 1.6 on Android. Of course Valve knows about this, they will probably pick it up like the original CS as it was a Half Life Mod. It would probably cost money later on too. Anyways, the keyboard works, WASD, C, R, T buttons do something. Awaiting more buttons and such on next update.
Care to explain to me on how it is copyright infringing when all included content are original and made by the developers only as a lookalike?
Its not look alike, the content(textures, maps, models, sounds) are all copyrighted materials from Counter-Strike.
Quake sounds should be optional.
Isn't that the point of piracy? To get something for free without paying for it.

Its not look alike, the content(textures, maps, models, sounds) are all copyrighted materials from Counter-Strike.
Ugh I give up. Arguing with someone this dense is a waste of time. Go ahead and sue the developers if you're so butthurt about it.
Isn't that the point of piracy? To get something for free without paying for it.
I'd rather buy cs 1.6 then play this to be really honest This is far from the enjoyment of the actual game And its made off another engine from ground up, has only one weapon, and some of the textures are replaced Yes its an issue possibly for valve but valves cool so they would probably embrace this if anything
I'd rather buy cs 1.6 then play this to be really honest This is far from the enjoyment of the actual game
Yeah, I don't see a point in this when you can just bring your netbook, install a separate windows partition for games. This is more of a gimick tbh.
jesus dick, the point of piracy is to get the exact copy, not some low quality good port this is intended for mobile phones and portability in mind ported to different engine and like i said before, gameplay is not the same as normal cs 1.6 stop being an ass about it because its not infringing unless a lawyer from valve comes along and says so emailing gabe is totally free and he'd be happy to know if someone is tapping into his profits
Played it on the Acer Iconia Tab A100, they use borderline aim hacks to help you aim. This results in near instant headshots.

Not so much a port, it's more like a recreation.
Is it ironic that I was talking about it earlier in some thread now all of a sudden its in the news? I hope the writer isn't a FP'r.
I do come here from time to time. How do you think I got my site in the news bot? However, sorry, I did not get this news from you. Sorry to ruin your ego. Move along.

I can guarantee my Galaxy Ace wouldn't be able to run this smoothly.
Is there something wrong with enjoying giving companies money for a good product while also giving money to a great platform that most of my friends use?
"Add a non-steam game". Your money is going to EA, if you hate EA so much installing it free off Origin is the sensible thing to do since it gives them no money. However if you're the typical noncompetitive consumer so be it.

it doesn't look fun at all why would you play a fps on a phone
it doesn't look fun at all why would you play a fps on a phone
some FPS games are pretty good on some phones. NOVA and Modern Combat are good examples.
Y'know, this just made me think. What if a bunch of us requested that Valve make GoldSrc open source? Do you think they'd do it? Id has been doing it since the beginning with Id tech, and the engine has long outlived its commercial usefulness.
Valve said they won't do it a few months ago.
Uh oh, it looks like their hosting account got suspended.
lOL [editline]22nd January 2012[/editline] Seems like SOPA did this suspend
llol
what happen
some FPS games are pretty good on some phones. NOVA and Modern Combat are good examples.
LOL no both of those games are shit multiplayer is just "who can throw nades best", because hand grenades detonate on impact with surfaces. plus you can shoot through certain obstacles that + the "sticky" aim = you can kill people through things without them even knowing.
So it wasent just me that seen account suspened? Lol, wtf happened anyway?
I'm guessing suspended for going over his bandwidth limit or warez.
wait, if this is open source, it can be ported. I actually think it could be cool to make a working version of cs 1.6 on Debian, but I would have to play on cracked servers. wouldnt this be ported to iOS with jailbreaking as well? seriously why isnt this so cross platform yet
