Icemaz do you really need to reply to every post in here that says something negative about GAME and give your opinion? We've seen your opinion in about 10 posts already, just give it a rest. With GAME not going down, I can still hopefully get a job there then, always wanted to since I was a kid.
Yeah you're right online forums aren't for discussion. Also FlashMarsh I would've given them serious shit for that.
If it is like you say that some stores lives on used games that's even worse. However this thread is not about them it's more about GAME and I'm saying GAME does this and thus I do not buy games from them. 8£ for a online pass is not the same as 50£, I'd rather support the company by giving them the full price, not buy a game that earns them nothing at all even if it does benefit me more.
Annoying how they're not reopening the already closed stores. I don't want to be an asshole to the people who rely on GAME for jobs, but their work and market ethics are shit.
Happy for the people who aren't out of jobs but annoyed that steam will continue to be cock blocked
Those kind of practices are what got them in this mess in the first place. It's not likely they'll try it again.
I may not be a fan of the store, but at least all those jobs have been saved.
I'm seriously getting sick of shit like this, GAME is the only shop which provide me with Pre-owned games where I can go along one morning (I did this morning) and get like 3 xbox 360 games for a tenner then when I'm done send em back for half the price I paid. No other shop lets me do that. Sure you might not like their business practice but as an actual shop it was handy, friendly and extremely convenient for many people.
You do know that pre owned hurts the games industry by a shit ton right? It's worse than piracy where you cannot prove a lost sale, with pre owned you can because people walk up with a new version of the game where money will come back to the producer, and they try to get you to buy a pre owned instead.
The CeX near me sold Medal of Honor Allied Assault + the two DLCs for 30p in total. Shit was so cash. Glad to see GAME has been saved, though. Shame our one can't be resurrected :\
I had to pay an american to purchase Space Marine for me. Why? Because GAME region blocked it here to push up console sales.
For consoles, GAME are great. For PC, they're shit. Thus, I only head there for xbox-related matters.

CEX is based entirely around trade-ins, atleast in the one near me, they don't even stock new games. The same goes for Playtime too. I've never had a member of staff try to convince me to buy the used version instead either.
In my experience they don't fucking rip you off in there. Besides, GAME might be kind of alright for console games, but for PC games they're terrible and never stock anything beyond the latest Sims expansion or a World of Warcraft booster pack or whatever shit. They're also supposedly one of the main reasons why some games are region locked for me, why I have to wait for games to be out on retail despite digital distribution and their exclusivity deals are bullshit. They've caused me trouble before with their customer service, what with them outright accusing me of lying, and telling me 1 week before a game comes out that they can't stock it is atrocious customer service.
Cex don't sell pc games anymore.
