Plane crash: Air Control is the best example of why Steam still needs to be curated

This isn't a scam, nor is it "not a game". It's a terrible product, end of story, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have the right to be sold.
Look I get you're trying to say that if a game is just "bad" it shouldn't be denied access based on that judgement but you can't just stick your fingers in your ears and go "LALALALALA NO THERE'S NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT OR FALSE ADVERTISING LALALALA". I'm mostly fine with shit games although I wish they'd put them in a separate greenlight tab or something, but this is not a case of that.
When you hear how much some people are complaining of the E3 2012 to Release footage it's like somebody murdered their family...

Of course the difference is not that drastic but it's still a big fat lie that falls within the same category that people are saying Air Control should be pulled off Steam for.
If there's one reason Air Control should be pulled off it's because it's selling copyrighted content they don't have exploitation rights for.
E3 footage was not advertised as final version of the game. Neither was it used as screenshots or videos on store page. This game blatantly uses bullshots that scam you into thinking it is what it isn't. Huge difference there.
Now if AAA game uses bullshots it is also bad and people are not okay with that.

I didn't say there was no copyright infringement. If there's one valid reason the game should go down it's that one.

It's unfit for purpose. That should be reason enough.

If that book was a set of loose pages with the words written in all directions and it exploded when I turned the page, I'd want it not to be sold too.
Edit: Max, you're arguing a fair subject, but around a game that is obviously just a horrible product that insults everyone involved. If this is going to be argued, it should be outside of the context of Air Control.
Valve has the funds and ability to hire a quality control team and their platform can only benefit from better control of the products sold on it.
I for one have almost dropped purchasing anything on steam for the past three months due to the growing difficulty of actually finding decent games on steam among the incalculable amount of trash, cashgrabs and shovelware the platform now sells, along with all the unfinished games from early access and the greenlight scams.
I try and go out of my way to buy non-steam versions of everything now.
You guys don't know the pain of actually having a friend gift this to you.
Still better than warz.

Is the developer purposely doing this, saying that all their problems of the game is because "They had a weak computer" when they played it?
I can't tell if he's trying to scam everyone or he's just being a dick.

Read the other PCGamer article; the game was made by a bunch of russian kids.

His counter criticism to any bad review is either "Your computer is just shit" or "You didn't read the manual", it's pretty funny.
I sure hope it gets trading cards.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was a guy trying to see how far he'd be able to push that bullshit
through greenlight without steam taking action, just to prove how broken the quality control currently is.
[sp]But then again it could still be some dude trying to rack up some easy money.[/sp]
