I guess they just didn't like money.
Oh damn. I really hope someone else picks up the Jedi Knight series and makes another awesome game. This is really sad.
lol
On the left it's Rebel Jedi, but on the right it's Jedi & Rebel for me, because of that z-like thing. [editline]29th July 2013[/editline]
I want Republic Commando 2
And Empire At War 2.
Oh damn. I really hope someone else picks up the Jedi Knight series and makes another awesome game. This is really sad.
When the Jedi Academy/Outcast source code was released one of the programmers (Who was an architect of the saber combat system of JKII/Academy) mentioned on the Movie Battles II forum that Raven still has the rights to make another Jedi Knight game, they just haven't. Since then all his posts have been redacted for legal reasons related to the source code...
Lucas Arts is deathly allergic to success.
Game company management is god awful nowadays. The "mass market" has just been led to believe that innovation is simply a re-inventing of the wheel over and over again. That's why we'll never see JKIII. Making the game wouldn't be the 'safe' or 'profitable' choice even though it's obvious that Star Wars fans would go absolutely bananas over it. Oh well, maybe it is better to just let Jedi Knight shine brightly in my mind through the nostalgia glasses anyway.
Damnit, Jedi Hunter sounds really cool
Jesus Christ, that's a lot of Jedi and Rebels.
Did no one else notice that this a possible leak of Episode VII's subtitle? Shadows of the Sith
Jedi Outlaw and Jedi Knight 3 both have the same crossed saber logo [editline]29th July 2013[/editline] Which is the Jedi Knight logo, if you look you can See 'JK' coming out of the sides of the sabers
Someone start a petition about JKIII and spread that shit around to /v/ and other corners of the internet. I'm tired of this shit. Like, really. How can a company be so disconnected from their fanbase as to deny them what they've wanted for fucking forever. Republic Commando 2, KOTOR 3, JK3, and BF3 all have to be some of the most highly requested sequels of all time and nothing. Only just now have we gotten word of a new BF, but its been fucking 7 years. That's shit. In the mean time we've instead been delivered hot new titles such as The Force Unleashed and The Force Unleashed II that totally haven't butchered the lore at all and turned out to be massive over-hyped flops. I'm just glad Lucas Arts is out of the game, maybe now we'll actually get some decent Star Wars games again.
I'm not sure if I should be happy KotOR III was not on that list or sad.
I'm not sure if I should be happy KotOR III was not on that list or sad.
TOR (god smite its corpse) was long confirmed to be KoTOR 3.
How could the cancel two jedi knight games? Whyyy? Rogue Jedi sounds like potential. It'd be interesting to have a Star Wars game with no inherently good or evil elements. "I'm no Jedi; I'm just a guy with a lightsaber and a few questions."
Did no one else notice that this a possible leak of Episode VII's subtitle? Shadows of the Sith

So the Episode VII film is called Shadows of the Sith?
No, I didn't. Thanks for nothing.
I have no words to describe how angry I am to hear that
I want JK3 god damnit. A new game that could capture the amazing saber battles of JK2 and the great gunplay and FPS combat of JK1/DF2 and DF1 would be too fucking great. Also with more vertical and unconventional level design like JK1 would be great too.
i thought academy was jk3
Officially, yes. Plotwise, not really. Jedi Knight (and the Dark Forces saga) was always about Kyle Katarn. Academy moved away from that.
Dark Forces II was my childhood. :(
i thought academy was jk3
Spinoff, although the exe for it was JK3.exe
Someone on GAF said this was from like 2008, hence why theres no force unleashed or 1313. Fuck JKIII would have been beast though.
No love for The Force Unleashed III.
Star Wars Rebel Scum Some of these titles have me in tears.
Jedi Hunter sounds rad as fuck.

Damnit, Jedi Hunter sounds really cool
Wonder what kind of setting they had planned. Perhaps something related to this guy?
There are two things that we can get from this list. One They obviously didn't care care about us so fuck them. Second Jedi's are rebels or All rebels are Jedi.
it would be cool to have another game that makes the Jedi look like scumbags. that was always the best thing about KOTOR 2, it was really fucking clever on how it utilized the universe
FUCK YOU Seriously, they have NOOOOOO clue how long people have waited, hoped even for the most slightest and miniscule proof that there was a sequel in the works. I am a JK2 veteran and I have even seen dreams about this game, I don't think I've ever anticipated something as much as a true sequel to Jedi Knight 2, which still reigns as the supreme king of Jedi games. My tears have dried long ago and I figured they just never bothered to make it for some reason, but now I find out it's been cancelled ??????????? I have no words.
Shh, just play Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. It's totally the same thing, right?
Like, really. How can a company be so disconnected from their fanbase as to deny them what they've wanted for fucking forever. Republic Commando 2, KOTOR 3, JK3, and BF3 all have to be some of the most highly requested sequels of all time and nothing.
And then release shitstains like TOR that forever tarnish the KOTOR name
I just died a little on the inside.
