Lucas Arts cancelled 20 Star Wars games over the years, including Jedi Knight 3

I liked the force unleashed, shame the second one was rushed.
It was always annoying that the games were bound by the laws of cannon though ie starkiller can't kill vader even though he could do it in a heartbeat because vader has to survive to be in the film canon.

They're not canon though, like Boba Fett in TFU2
It'd be interesting to have a Star Wars game with no inherently good or evil elements. "I'm no Jedi; I'm just a guy with a lightsaber and a few questions."
You just described Kyle Katarn.

The Force Unleashed was awful in so many ways.

I was going to mention Kyle, but he still does the "good" thing in his games. He's more of a neutral good kinda guy.
great, yet ANOTHER dev out of touch with their fans
how could they cancel JK3
how
If EA announced that they're developing JK3 with Kyle Katarn as the main character, I'd go absolutely apeshit and preorder 10 copies.
Wonder what kind of setting they had planned. Perhaps something related to this guy?

Who were the 4 Jedi he killed before? Who was he before being encased? What was the kind of thing he did for the separatist army?
I really want another Jedi Knight game so my roleplaying community can come back together. (Pipedream) Always a full server every day all day long. I miss it. :(

All this is already known through extended universe, but it'd still be cool to put in a video game.
And just for the record, the guy's killed a hell of a lot more jedi than 4 before Episode 3.
I'm happy lucasarts got shut down, they made a lot of fucking dumb decisions. Notice how the second EA (a competent publisher) got their hands on battlefront, they announced BF3. Because it will make squillions.
IMO I feel like a game like Jedi Hunter would be better served as almost a sequel to Bounty Hunter.(I know it wasnt very good but hear me out)
You play as Jango Fett pre-Bounty Hunter and maybe live through the slaughter of his Mandolorian camp by Jedi so you develop a hate for them. Then it plays like an open-galaxy hunt for the Jedi responsible and then you find out their leader was Dooku twist ending etc etc and it all would be voiced my TEMEURA MORRISON
You'd have to learn how to kill Jedi as they would be no easy prey. Disarming them, shooting around their saber deflect range/shooting quick enough that they cant deflect, stuff like that.
Ohhh a man can dream.
I used to like Bounty Hunter quite a bit as a kid.
Not sure how I'd feel if I went back and played it though.
Two Jedi Knight games
TWO
FUCK
YOU
So the Episode VII film is called Shadows of the Sith?
No. This is Lucasarts, so prior to Disney acquisition and therefore prior to Episode VII film production
uhm no rc2 on there
no need to burn down lucasarts yet
Yo DICE... Can has JK3?
Someone on GAF said this was from like 2008, hence why theres no force unleashed or 1313.
Fuck JKIII would have been beast though.
Man imagine how many more projects they scrapped in the five years since

Mickey Mouse already did
im guessing by the massive amount of passion jedi knight fans are showing in this thread i should probably play those games at some point
Jedi Hunter... I wonder if that would be anything like the old Deer Hunter games.
Most of those probably aren't even real games. Just titles in various fonts. I mean, there can't seriously be that many games about dark and edgy jedis.
I bet 99% of these didn't make it past the initial concept stages.

They're probably placeholder titles for when they were trying to pitch the games.
Also, there wasn't a Rogue Squadron sequel planned? That hurts because that would be the coolest series to bring back, that or XWing/Tie Fighter series. Imagine the Oculus Rift in an Tie Fighter cockpit.
Star Wars: Rebel Scum and Rebel Warrior. The first one looks hilarious.

Please do. Most people will tell you to play Jedi Knight 2 because of its excellent saber combat but I'd also recommend Jedi Knight 1 heavily as it has absolutely superb and really unique/memorable level design, even if they are a bit visually blocky now, and really satisfying gunplay.
Dark Forces does as well.

Sadly, the graphics like to freak out a lot.
Some are quite obviously different titles for the same game - jedi outlaw <> jedi knight 3
Still kinda sad to see so many games go bye bye

That fixes the graphics errors?
star wars: scum and villainy? that's like the best title for a game ever
of course most of these would have been shite don't forget
Literally any of them would have been better than what we got.
