To be fair, it usually is (probably the best review of the game, IMO).
Also, donated 9 bucks to the "FZ: Side F" thing on bandcamp so I don't have to get this game to support (some of) the artists.

"Change your perspective" means that you literally flip Fez's perspective into a different plane of the 3d world, seeing it "in a different way." Reminds me of the "groundbreaking" line from Shovel Knight's trailer.
Even if he's playing the part, I still want nothing to do with him. If you pretend to be an asshole, you're still an asshole, especially considering his 'persona' has completely taken over his outward public appearance.
I wonder if the guy who made this game stole some ideas from cave story because damn it sure looks like it.
But considering the guy seems like having a huge IQ I would rather get the game "free" just like how cave story started.

i must have played very different games from other people when i was younger if this is nostalgic/retro, none of my 8bit games looked like FEZ, they had actual effort put into them

The only other games on the "top sellers" list have been out for a while. Of course the newest thing is going to be the top seller now. The next highest came out a month ago.

it looks more 16-bit to me, and i don't think there's anything wrong with the visuals. rehashing old themes doesn't just mean visually/musically though, the games themselves were interesting too. this is just easy platforming.
this game doesn't bring back what was good about older games, seems like it's just trying to give people a false sense of nostalgia
