thats a sick ending and like someone else said it perfectly lets a NG+ work
In response to all the dumbs and comments, I just want to point out these were two specific examples I could think of immediately and link to. If you think this idea was somehow more original when Prey 2 was in development, or that I was implying these two shows were the first to do it you're completely misunderstanding my post. Ah well.
And you're completely misunderstanding everyone and everything by going "well something vaguely similar has been done before so it's not really that original"
Seeing as it spent five years in development without the devs being able to put out as little as one actually playable demo that wasn't scripted out the ass, I have doubts if it could have been good at all.
There is a point in a development cycle where it becomes clear developers are just wasting time or struggle with a lost cause. Half a decade seems like a good breaking point - just looking through games known for being stuck in development hell shows that five to six years on a single project is the tipping point where diminishing returns go in full effect.
I thought the developers were overworked by Bethesda so that they could buy out the studio.
... misunderstanding my post.
If you feel people have misunderstood your post a good starting point is to explain yourself, so that we can better understand you.

The whole hostile acquisition thing was pushed without any sources or proof by like one salty developer. There's a lot more evidence pointing towards the fact Human Head was just not able to put anything worthwhile in the span of five fucking years.
It was sorta used in BioShock: Infinite, though. [sp]Except then you're not a clone but another Booker DeWitt from a parallel universe.[/sp]
So it wasn't really used in BioShock: Infinite then.

They weren't overworked, they were deliberately underpaid.
preys disturbing plottwist was that alex was skipping fitness classes
don't forgot about how he was sneaking all of the donuts out of the cafe
