3D2D disappears behind a model at any distance

Well, today I started playing with the 3D2D features in GMod. So far so good, but I’m having the following problem:

As you can see, the barrel is clearly far behind the ‘screen’, but it still shows up in front of the displayed content. Is there any way to prevent this? I’m drawing it in a SENT’s ENT:Draw( ) hook.

I am having a similar problem where certain 3D skybox objects are being drawn infront of the ‘screen’, i am also drawing in a SENT’s ENT:Draw( ) hook.

ENT.RenderGroup = RENDERGROUP_TRANSLUCENT;

That solved my problem, thanks.

Awesome, thanks.

thx maker never knew that

You should be thanking Lexic not me. :confused:

opps, your right

thanks lexic

Omg when looking at the pic it looks like if it is far far far away.

…wat?

Nothing. Also thnks I wondered why it didnt work for mine too.

So I guess I’ll be the first to ask but how is this done? Is there a tutorial I can read?

Try reading this thread and bump it if you need more help. I learned pretty much everything I know about 3D2D from the Keypad sent and the wiki.
