First try at tracers and fast-moving stuff, so let me know if i messed anything up.

Fairly solid overall. I think the blur could be toned down ever so slightly, so we can see the buildings a bit more clearly. Tracers look nice (assuming it’s firing lasers), but the muzzleflash looks to be at the wrong angle.

Oh man, this is veeeeeery cool.
I personally think the blur is a bit too strong, but it certainly captures the speed of the chase. Nice lighting too. Overall, good job!

Engaging Mass Effect nerd drive core.

A mass accelerator propels a solid metal slug using precisely-controlled electromagnetic attraction and repulsion. The slug is designed to squash or shatter on impact, increasing the energy it transfers to the target.

So, not lasers. Supersonic metal pellets.

Right, so in that case the tracers would be almost impossible to get on camera. But hey, we’re not talking realism here.


Better? I toned down the blur and moved one of the tracers.

I know this is gameworld physics, but doesn’t deformation absorb energy rather than transfer to another medium? Sorta like crumple zones in newer cars, they squash so that the brunt of the crash energy is not transferred into the passengers.

I dunno man, these are solid metal slugs

i guess they deform and mushroom out to rip it a new one like soft/hollowpoints. deformation uses energy, it doesn’t transfer it.
