AI nodes

Well, info nodes I guess. The problem is, I want to add some artificial intelligence into my maps, as many of the use NPCs. I understand I need to place them around the map, and they do not need to be touching the ground, but I don’t know how close they must be to work properly.

Bonus Question
How (when using Half Life 2) can I make my info_player start with an HEV suit on?

Distance is up to you, and for that suit thing, just put item_suit where info_player_start is. You’ll pick it up on spawn.

you should place them at corners, intersecting areas, and generally spread them about in open area so they may get around any object that might appear out of nowhere while they walk their bee-line path.
