Animated model. What am I doing wrong?

I created a model which was supposed to be able to animate - but it didn’t.

If anyone finds this thread in the future and has the same problem, make sure you specify autoplay in at least one of the $sequences in your QC file.

The other thing I may have needed was to make sure the entity is of type prop_dynamic_override so that it discards the physics model (if it is the case that the model contains one). Otherwise, use prop_dynamic.
