BIOSHOCK 2 *RAW* MODEL/TEXTURE FILE PACKS!

Bioshock 2 model/texture pack is here! It includes all models from the game and textures in RAW format psk and pskx.

How do I open these formats? Just use the INCLUDED 3ds Max plugin to open these formats.

YOU CAN NOW BATCH CONVERT THESE MODELS TO FBX BY USING THE INCLUDED PLUGIN!! JUST REALIZED THE PLUGIN COMES WITH A BATCH CONVERT! (Two screens appear at launch of 3DMAX for the plugin (after proper install), its the right window, the psk export window) :slight_smile: THEN BY USING A OFFICIAL MAYA PLUGIN BATCH CONVERT THE FBX TO OBJ (GOOGLE TO FIND THE PLUGIN).

I won’t be doing WELCOME BACK, yet, I forgot to do it and I deleted the game off my hard drive to make way for other games, don’t feel like re-downloading the game.

**If for some reason when you import the model into 3ds Max and the textures don’t show and you have to manually find it.
go into the model file using notepad or any word program and search for “shader”

When found, find that same named shader in the SHADER folder and it will tell you the texture names for the modeL.
don’t forget the SPEC image as the shader does not refer to it but it exists, at least it should.**

No. This is for Bioshock 2, the other thread(s) were for the first Bioshock.

Updated with more mp maps, adding sp maps shortly.

Are these usable in Garry’s Mod?

No, that is up to the user to convert the 1000’s of models or any models they want.

I am posting the sp maps right now, next game is Batman Arkham Asylum, all props and models.

Are the weapons included in this one? If so, could you tell me in what download link they are?

All the sp maps under the folder “SkeletalMesh”
Some weapons are:
MG_Mesh
MG_UpgradeBarrel_Mesh
SG_Mesh
etc.

Done uploading all maps, working on next game at the moment, Batman Arkham City, including all animations.

Hey, were can I find the character models (splicers & whatnot)?

I found Big Daddy in sp_Gallery, and a GathererGirl (the girl that leads the Bid Daddy) in SP_Ghetto.

I just skimmed through them through, there are probably splicers in the sp_files but its the way 2k named them, they didnt name it “Big Daddy girl” or something like that, they named it “GathererGirl”, its kinda confusing to find the files because I could be looking at a splicer model file in front of me but I would never know due to the naming of the files.

Sorry for the bump, but does someone have a reupload for the MP models, I’m thinking of rigging them, but my computer won’t download from Filedropper.

I will have to redo all the packs, lets all have a moment of silence for the time I have to take to redownload all the games and redo all the packs :frowning:

Great release man thanks so much! My friend and are looking to convert a ton, perhaps even all of them in time. One problem we’ve run into so far though is that scaling is way off on a lot of the models. It seems like it’s not consistently off too, so it’s impossible to just rescale each model by the same amount. Do you know what could be causing this or a possible solution other than eyeballing the scale on every model?

They all should be Bioshock scale? I converted most of these models in Milkshape fine to COD2.

How I did it was, I ported a Bioshock CHARACTER model into the program, saw that it was “10 blocks” high, then I ported a COD character model in Milkshape, saw its 4.5 blocks high.

So I scaled EVERY model in Bioshock 2 down 45% so its scaled correctly, it doesnt matter if like a bookshelf or a door is higher then 4.5 blocks as they are supposed to be.

So for your case, go to Milkshape, you need to figure out how high a Garry Mods character is, lets say its 7.5 blocks high, you scale every BIOSHOCK model by 75% OR the number it takes for the Bioshock char models to match the height of the Garry mod char model

All of the models are scaled differently though, like some things that are supposed to be huge are tiny, and some things that are supposed to be tiny are huge. It doesn’t look like there’s an easy way to scale everything properly.

Use Milkshape? Everything should be scaled correctly.

To use in Milkshape just rename all the PSKX files to psk via batch name renamer program.

These Are The Only Files That Will Need To Be Reuploaded, Due To Lack Of People Accessing The File Per 60 Days.

I only recently discovered this thread… are the five missing files ever going to be reuploaded?
