Blender/Source - Materials Mirrored on one side.

I have made a model of a Boeing 747-400 in Blender, all is good and works well in Source. Apart from one problem, when I unwrapped it I used project from view for most of it. The material is “mirrored” on one side. Is there a simple fix for this? Or is the only option to re-unwrap the model.

I would prefer to avoid this as I have spent a lot of time working on the material.

I wouldn’t mind making a mirrored version of the same material, and then applying that as a second material? Or is that not advisable?

Ok, in my usual way. I “almost figured it out” I simply re-unwrapped the problem area. And assigned it its own material.

But, after exporting it to an SMD it’s not assigning the additional materials. Onlt the original one it in the SMD. Here’s a snippit of the SMD:

No where in the SMD is the additional material mentioned, it should be showing Boeing_747_Right in there too. I’ve tried compiling the model, but as I suspected it is only using the one material.

What gives? Is this a big with the exporter?

SOLVED: You need to click Assign, when adding more materials. I’ve never used more than one when making models, so I’ve never found a need to do this. So basically, when you are using more than one material on a model. Select the faces you want, then make sure you click ASSIGN.
