New modifier to keep your geometry valid as brushes inside Max: Brushify Modifier.
How well would this work with geometry exported from Sketchup? I want to change my workflow but there are no good solutions & Valve’s own sketchup plugin is pretty bad
Hard for me to say. I haven’t used Sketchup in years, so it’s hard for me to guess how it would work. You can email me an example scene and I can see how clean it comes in.
