Categories

Are we still happy with the entity categories? Excuse the code…

$CAT = array();
$CAT[ 'entity' ] = array();
$CAT[ 'entity' ][] = array( id => 0, show => false, name => 'Uncategorized' );
$CAT[ 'entity' ][] = array( id => 1, show => true, name => 'Fun' );
$CAT[ 'entity' ][] = array( id => 2, show => true, name => 'Violent' );
$CAT[ 'entity' ][] = array( id => 3, show => true, name => 'Showcase' );
$CAT[ 'entity' ][] = array( id => 4, show => true, name => 'Utility' );

$CAT[ 'weapon' ] = array();
$CAT[ 'weapon' ][] = array( id => 0, show => false, name => 'Uncategorized' );
$CAT[ 'weapon' ][] = array( id => 1, show => true, name => 'Fun' );
$CAT[ 'weapon' ][] = array( id => 2, show => true, name => 'Violent' );
$CAT[ 'weapon' ][] = array( id => 3, show => true, name => 'Showcase' );

Any other ideas for categories? Better ideas?

Realistic for weapons maybe? For weapons that are based off real guns.

Weapons needs Utility as well, for stuff like the laser pointer.

NSFW category maybe?

Not that most companies would probably approve of employees playing Garry’s Mod at work…

But I mean, someone is bound to make “Redtube Roulette billboard” or “Gman with dangly dong” or some such eventually. Such is the nature of user submitted content.

Added Realism and Utility

Add Colorful

perhaps a broader “Effects” category or something, for things that are mostly just meant to look pretty? Like that glowy companion cube thing.

How about a category for “Work-in-progress”? For entities/weapons that don’t need to be restricted to your Workshop, but are not finished yet.

If it’s not done it shouldn’t be in it at the first place

BLOODGA$M, Effects = Showcase.

I think Remakes (or Ports) category should be added.

DarthTealc, this will be stupid due to Workshop. Toybox is collection of final versions of SWEPs.

then what is Showcase for weapons? Weapons that are only made to look pretty?

Add a “Beta” catagory for works in progress. :buddy:

have a highest rated category.

separated from popular.

Add one for High-End computers, so people don’t accidentally spawn something that crashes their game.

How would that be possible? Anything that could crash a computer by showing once piece of content in a game that runs fine is…

Blah. :psyduck:

Creative
New and Cool
Old Gold

Add Dupes and maybe make it possible to try tools?

“Dangerous” category for such things as Friendly Gnome, Mingeblock etc. perhaps?

Stools

No, I mean something with loads of flashy lights and effects and stuff that could possibly crash a low-end computer. :v:
