Hey everyone, I’m Colossal and today by popular demand on a server I go to, I released my Colossal Foliage Spawn List. Basically this is a spawn list chock-full of nature shit like trees and plants and rocks and stuff. It’s still not completely done, as I plan on making it even longer than it is. I’ve been working on this for 3 months so far, carefully going file by file for each game and adding each good foliage prop I could find. So it wasn’t just adding every single green object I saw. Here’s some stuff you can make with this pack.

I expect V2 to be done in maybe a week or so. With added animals and rocks. And if this goes really far, I might start reskinning and hexing things. Like the trees from Strider Mountain or something.

I’m probably half-way done with the next version. Got a head start earlier.

I would also like to thank Benji for putting this on the front page. I never realized it would get that much attention (though I did submit it earlier after I released it. I might make a version that doesn’t include DODS stuff because I know a lot of people don’t have DODS (though they should GET it).

You just put the “settings” folder into your username/garrysmod/garrysmod directory. And if it asks to replace, click yes.

In other news, the second version will have 5-6 menus to use. So it’s pretty big. Or should I say, it’s pretty Colossal?

I’ve not yet downloaded. Will there be a way to tell which items are from what game?
I have all the CSS/HL2 eps, but don’t have any of the others, nor plan on purchasing them (DOD and plans for your v2 games).

Speaking of Lua and wrong release sections… perhaps there could be a way using Lua to check if each file exists for the individual player/server, and then create the spawnlist from that rather than having one huge list of stuff the server/player didn’t have.
Just an idea. :slight_smile:

uuh, I put the folder in addons, but the spawnlist doesn’t show up, am I doing something wrong?

It looks so amazing, is there some way to get this in hammer? This would be SO good for stranded.

Yes, you’re doing something wrong. You don’t put it in addons, you put the “settings” folder inside your garrysmod/garrysmod folder.

Also, half the comments I don’t understand. The grammar of them makes no sense.

AND, I want V2 to be in addon format, but I don’t know how to create info.txt so if anyone can help me out, then I would greatly thank you.
