Is there a way to compile my map so that my custom models and textures aren’t needed to be added to gmod ?
It scans for custom content and adds it to the .bsp

Do you just add the program location to the list of stuff that is run while compiling to get it to work?
No. You compile as normal, then open Pakrat, select the BSP file of your map, then click Auto or Scan or something. Once it’s found everything, save it.
