Any suggestions?

[sp]starchick told me to post this, im getting the exact same[/sp]

Try this if you want to keep the values you’ve put:

$modelname "boeing\Boeing_737w_closed.mdl"
$cdmaterials "models\boeing\"

$scale 1

$body studio "737o_closed_ref.smd"

$surfaceprop "metal"

$sequence idle "737o_closed_seq.smd" fps 1

$keyvalues { "prop_data" { "base" "Metal.Large" } } //not sure what this is for

$collisionmodel "737o_closed_ref.smd" {
$mass 80000.0 //i'd say this is far too heavy, you want to pose it right?
$inertia 1.00
$damping 0.00
$rotdamping 0.00
}

Or this if you want it in a format I know works:

$modelname "boeing\Boeing_737w_closed.mdl"
$scale 1
$body studio "737o_closed_ref.smd"
$cdmaterials "models\boeing\"

$surfaceprop "metal"

$sequence idle "737o_closed_ref.smd" fps 1

$collisionmodel "737o_closed_ref.smd" {
$mass 100.0
$inertia 1.00
$damping 0.00
$rotdamping 0.00
}

Edit: The main issue in your original is the { for the collision model extra lines is in the wrong place, as your collision model .smd is above your sequence .smd for some reason.

EDIT sorry, silver beat me, I had to talk to someone, hit the post botton. ohwell / you got 2 QC’s to use

a prop?

try using another QC;

$cd "D:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\mario_kart64n\sourcesdk\bin\orangebox\bin\_PROJECTS\Cammy"

$modelname "Boeing_737w_closed.mdl"
$cdmaterials "models\boeing\"
$model "studio" "737o_closed_ref.smd"
$sequence idle "rag_mask.smd" fps 1
$staticprop
$surfaceprop "metalpanel"

$collisionmodel "737o_closed_seq.smd"{
    $mass 10.00
    $concave

}

$keyvalues
{

You forgot to remove the $cd and change the $sequence .smd :3 (unless thats a base empty or something, also what does $concave make it do?)

Edit: :smiley:

$concave basically tells the compiler to take the multiple convex pieces of the physics model and compile them into a single phymodel. This is how you get complex, and accurate shapes for non-convex models.

I tried both, still isnt working

Ok thats not good, is there something up with the SMDs? Try importing them to your modelling program to check if there still how they were before you exported them. (also have you got the log for using those QCs?)

I’m getting the same error, and the model has compiled fine before :confused:

Just too much polys or bones.

You really shouldn’t be getting the same error, thats strange @,@

Seems likely.

A simple box with a texture on it is not compiling. I think the compiling tools are broke again.

Whoops, had the wrong path set in my QC, nevermind.

Just to let you know, even a simple box can have loads of polys. If you set it’s segments to 1000x1000x1000

There’s probably a hole in the model. You just have to close it and it will work. That’s my guess anyway.

Edit: Why’d I reply to this ancient thing.

Because your dumb. big and dumb

…Well, yeah.
