Compiling for l4d2

I’m working an a Barrett M107 for the Military Sniper Rifle. I have it modeled and rigged, but I can’t figure out how to compile it.

I found a tutorial on FPSbanana, but it was for left 4 dead one and used its directories and such. Also, it was very confusing. Is there a better tutorial on how to compile for l4d2?

go to (C:)/program files/steam/steamapps/common/left 4 dead 2/bin
and drag your QC file in studiomdl.exe and it will compile

can you also tell me how to rig view models please?

that just tells you how to rig melee v_models which i already know
but how can i rig pistols and stuff?

Select the bone, than select the part that you want to rig the bone to and assign it the part.
