Control Networking

What do you guys think would be an efficient way to reliably network control inputs from a client to the server?

With my current setup, on the client, there is a polling loop that checks each possible binding to see weather it is being used or not, each binding is represented as a two digit number, identifier and control name.
The current method that I propose to network control input is by juxtaposing each two digit control then sending it to the server in a concommand, then on the server just deconstructing the number with maths.

You might be able to use the numpad library. There’s lots of other hooks that can monitor player keypresses as well.
