Conversion process for FBX models to SFM-compatible models

Hey folks, I’ve recently dived into the rabbit hole that is porting EA SWFB2 FBX models to SFM.

So far I’ve figured out how to convert a FBX to an SMD and DMX using blender, but I’ve made zero modifications to the file itself, and have no idea if what I’ve done is even adequate.
I have also converted the texture files to VTFs, again, making zero modifications.

I’m not really sure what I’m doing, and wanted to know if y’all have any advice/tutorials to point me to.
