Creating Places to Be In - a game design/mapping resource

One of the papers I took this year involved doing weekly research and maintaining a blog containing records and analysis of this research. I chose to look at game design.

I researched things that interested me. I looked at the importance of Suspension of Disbelief, I looked at character/location design, I looked at the structure of some game development companies, I looked at concept art and the motivations behind the creation of concept art. I looked at mapping.

It’s not a perfect resource; I haven’t cited all of my sources and therefore things should maybe be taken with a grain of salt. It was very useful to me though. Hopefully it’s just as useful to you!

It’s best to start with the oldest post, right down the bottom.
