Custom player anims for gamemode

so the way i see it animations, gibs,collision models are included in the original MDL file
so how can i add new player models for reloading, firing, secondary fire etc, and how should i structure my MDL file ( as in, how should i name my animations in the mdl file)
a game mode i’m working on needs some very specific attack animations
information on where to find the half life hands template would be useful too

any help would be useful, the valve developers wiki wasn’t much help


There’s the if you wanna do it with pure lua.

I dont want to have to script in all my animations, im sure there is a way to add custom player animations
