Decomposing Models

Hey guys, I had a question about decompiling models from half-life or other source games so I can get their bone structure and make my own model out of it. Anyway I can do that though? I have to make a custom model for Gmod and I need something like a tutorial or a walkthrough for this. Thanks :3

For decompile models try with the mdldecompiler: http://www.chaosincarnate.net/cannonfodder/cftools.htm (note: if you have to decompile Orange Box models, open the .mdl file in notepad ++ or another program, and change IDST0 for ISDT,).
