Detatched part - No clue

Hello, im no expert at modeling, actually quite new. Im trying to fit a backpack on the back of this soldier (as shown in the picture) What i did was i extracted 2 different blender models and merged them. And i thought, eyy looks good in blender, looks good in game right? and no, it did not. I really don’t know whats wrong, maybe something to do with the attachment or something, problem is that i have no idea how to fix those problems. I will be greatful for any help and advices as im trying to expand my knowledge

  • Thanks for reading

You have to apply the object its current transform. Goto Object Mode and then, press Ctrl + A, apply “Location”, “Rotation” and “Scale”.

If it still didn’t work, add me on Steam and I will assist you there.

Did not work  adding you on steam, presuming your name is the same

Click the Steam icon under my profile avatar and you will find my steam profile.

Added you, im Puss

Have you weighted the backpack to the skeleton? I don’t use blender so I can’t help you on how to actually do that

I didn’t receive your friend request.

Sent you new one, and yes the problem was weightpainting. so thank you! Now i just need to do that, and i suck at weightpainting xD

Q: Should i get a new bone for the backpack or use an existing one? also which one would be best? i tried the chest bone but it ended up like this

Weight paint it at ValveBiped.Bip01_Spine4

I still haven’t received your friend request.

Says its sent

Anways edited the right bone, no idea how hard the weightpaint should be but its looking like this https://gyazo.com/c71d32cadf510a1a109294b48caa41d7 might be to hard

Fixed. Mesh was weight painted on two different bones.
