Disable blood effect

How would I go about keeping the engine from doing the default blood effect?

I would rather have my own less bloody effect similar to Counter-Strike.

I’ve seen it done in other gamemodes so it’s not impossible, I just can’t find anything about it on the wiki or anywhere.

Is there a way to do it client side as well?

Client side ragdolls still have the effect.

violence_hblood 0
violence_hgibs 0
violence_ablood 0
violence_agibs 0
