DModelPanel Holding a Weapon?

What would be the most efficient way to go about doing this? My goal is to have a player model displayed in a DModelPanel hold a rifle. Is this possible? If not, what is a better/more efficient way?

bonemerge the worldmodel to the playermodel being rendered.

Figured it out; for anyone else who stumbles on this thread, I went ahead and create my own version of the DModelPanel and proceeded to add the bonemerge in there.
