Dragon Quest Heroes PC Version Model Ripping

As some of you may or may not know, the game Dragon Quest Heroes was released yesterday for Steam.


I’ve been wanting to port various characters and monsters from the game, myself. It seems to store a majority of its data in a LINKDATA.BIN archive, and all the tools I’ve tried including this: http://xnalara.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1001&sid=257d4f43805291202a94bbeb9f6604f2 don’t seem to work quite yet. I’d upload a sample, but it’s filesize is MASSIVE (like around 6 GB massive :v:). I suppose it’s just a matter of time until it works, so I’ll just have to wait it out.

It’s a musou game so first step should be looking for tools for previous musou games and see if you have any luck

Could always ask a xentax wizard to help you out, since chances are said tools probably came from there

EDIT: Saw that you did look around so disregard the above, that tool says it should support the game but chances are PC uses different compression or something so that’s probably why it doesn’t work

Could always grab the PS3 version and try it on that instead, unless PC is higher quality since it’s a port of the PS4 version

Or wait until the author of that tool adds support for the PC version
