The image above is an example of something I would like to achieve. My only issue I’m having is with the circle, I’m unsure on how to draw a hollow circle with such quality even so I don’t know how to make the circumsrance of it grow as the velocity of the player changes.

I plan to use something like this to define its progression:

The default drawCircle method is ass. You’ll have to develop your own workaround. You should lookup the drawPoly function and parametric formulas.

If you want to draw a hollow circle of inner radius R1, outer radius R2, going from angle 0 to angle 100, centered at position ScrX ScrY, then I’d do something like:

end

Then set the color and draw the poly. Although I believe this will start at the horizontal position and then draw down. So you’ll want to start it at -90 and go to 10, and vice-versa. I can’t do all your work for you.

So basically what you want to do is draw the outer limb of the circle, then draw the inner limb going back around the other side. Think about it like a connect-the-dots page.

Use it like this:

Thank you for all your effort but there’s a problem. Im not sure how I would use this to show velocity, I guess I could make a single degree a part but thats all.

I have defined the start angle as 0 and the end angle as speedWidthC in this code:

I expect the circle to grow form 0 to 360 to create the full circle. But it grows clockwise from 270 to 270

Yeah, just modify the code for surface.PrecacheArc on line 9-20 of that file. Removing it should do the trick but I haven’t tried that.
