Based on a true story.

I know perskin shit is supposed to stay in the thread, but I figured that this wasn’t really about perskins. So enjoy.

i love this

oh shit, a dionsaur

I love when stuff like this happens in RPGs. Always fun.

pffff more like Saints & Rows

Brings back memories of the comic section and when posting a personal skins comic outside the thread wouldn’t get bitched at.
Good shit.

I love rolling a 20

It kind of is, though. But I’m not complaining, I like comics.

I could go nitpicking on the editing like a jerk, but you know, it doesn’t really matter. It was a funny read.

such a great song choice…

I’ll take all the C&C. If you want to keep it out of the thread, you can bug me on steam if you want. I like making comics and if you’ve seen some of my previous stuff, you’ll know that I could use any help I can get :V

All right then. I just didn’t want to look like an asshole, people would say “here’s this arrogant SOB coming to a thread about a fun comic pointing out stuff”, and justifiably so. But seeing as I have your permission, here I go.

For one, I think you could use better fonts - maybe it’s just me, but that stuff looks like it comes with Windows. Blambot is a great, resourceful font site with plenty of options; some are paid, but most are free and very good.

The speechbubble itself is good, it’s a very interesting personal style, but I’m not sure how good it’d look on a longer comic. It looked fine in this case, but here’s a tip for next time: usually, when you have a lot of text in your speechbubble, it’s best to format the text in a rectangular or polygonal way. Here’s a particularly wordy example of mine.

The layout itself is simple, but that’s not exactly a bad thing. It works very well in this case, keeps it readable and to the point.

I think that’s pretty much it, too. Like I said, I like comics and I liked this one, it was funny.

Wait a minute, is that guy on the right playing as me?

Nope. Chonch is is playing himself. You were in the shot of the tables as well, but I couldn’t fit you into the shots when it came time to take the pictures.

Also, thanks for the tips Mythos. In the future, I’m hoping to work with more complex layouts, but we’ll see how that turns out.

That would be fun. Some one of y’all oughta organize a dnd event, create a save file and upload necessary addons, then one person gets to be dungeon master with random die kinda thing-
it’d be fun methinks.

My pleasure. As usual, here’s me linking to my old layout tutorial. It’s got very basic techniques (some of which I’ve replaced in the meantime) and I’m thinking of maybe updating it one of these days, but it shows some tricks that may or may not be useful. Let me know if it helps!
