Enabling the shadow of a prop after Entity.SetNoDraw( false )

For an addon I’m working on, I need to make entities temporarily invisible. This all works well, but after making a prop visible again with
[lua]ent:SetNoDraw( false )[/lua]
the shadow does not appear until the prop is moved by physics. Is there a function like Entity.Activate I need to call after making it visible again? Entity.DrawShadow did not change anything.

Entity.CreateShadow was added to garrysmod on the 8th, see if that does what you want.
