ENT.Information

In an lua entity file, is there a way to make ENT.Information = “placeholder” multiple lines long?

I’d like to be able to have a reasonable description of what the entity does instead of a short one-liner. Obviously I dont want to write a full essay in there, but a 4 line description would be nice, but I know almost absolutely nothing about LUA’s - I’m just trying to tweak a couple things that I downloaded so I always know what they do in game.

Example of what I’m trying to say:

Before

ENT.Type 			= "anim"
ENT.Base 			= "base_anim"
ENT.PrintName		= "Bouncy Ball"
ENT.Author			= "Garry Newman"

ENT.Information = “An edible bouncy ball”

ENT.Category		= "Fun + Games"

ENT.Spawnable			= true
ENT.AdminSpawnable		= true

After:

ENT.Type 			= "anim"
ENT.Base 			= "base_anim"
ENT.PrintName		= "Bouncy Ball"
ENT.Author			= "Garry Newman"

ENT.Information = “An edible bouncy ball.
It bounces really high.
Don’t Eat me.
Please.”

ENT.Category		= "Fun + Games"

ENT.Spawnable			= true
ENT.AdminSpawnable		= true

But this just gives an incomplete string error, and makes the entity unspawnable. So is there a right way to do it?

Add
to your string, it stands for a NewLine. :slight_smile:

So :
ENT.Information = “An edible bouncy ball.
It bounces really high.
Don’t Eat me.
Please.”

I, and my well documented entities, give much thanks to you.
