So I am in the process of making a map for the gamemode Onslaught. It’s coming along pretty well, but the lighting I have in mind requires something that I’m not quite sure is possible.
Can you create a light_environment that projects lighting upwards, as if emanating from the ground? If not, is there a way to do this with another light entity?
Any help is appreciated!
You can make the ground texture a texlight. but no you cant have upwards light_env that emanates from the ground
You can make the light_environment have a negative pitch. It only emits out of the sky texture though. You can have a texture that emits light from it though, through the .vbsp
Then couldn’t you disable shadows on the ground and such then place a skybox texture underneath? I haven’t tried it, but it sounds like it may work.
So how would I go about making a texture emit light from the ground? Also, the texture would pretty much be the whole ground of the map with a few exceptions, so will that affect anything?
