ep2 mist effect?

on ep2 theres this really cool mist effect.



how do you get this effect, i would really like to know.

i just used a trigger texture, works fine. thx for the help everyone.

A word of caution, func_smokevolume is VERY expensive to render. Using the wrong settings, or using it in large areas of the map can have disastrous hits on frame rates, especially on slower machines.

It won’t be a big performance hit if he wants to just do what they did in Ep2. Only need a few, low transparency, large particles.

yeah, i accendenlty had loads of particles and there was quiet a bit of lag. but i changed that to wats its like in ep2. thx for the warning anyway.
