Ep2 wont load map

Im working on a Cordon-ed off area of my map. In this area, I have a bunch of subdivided displacements, probably more than 100, and a info_player_start. The map compiles fine in a very short amount of time, with no obvious errors I can detect, but when it gets to the Ep2 splash screen it doesnt get past the loading… screen. Additionally, when I start up ep2 and change the map to my level it has a memory error and crashes. The BSP is only 6.5 MB, so I cant figure out what is the problem. Can it not handle that many displacements?

im not sure but i have a problem like that
when i set hammer on ep2 and try to run my map it loads portal up

The Orange Box engine has trouble with some power of four displacements. Try cordoning off sections of the map at a time.
