Can somebody help me? I made this big map… Even with a special lighting room I made from a tutorial… I get this error no matter what map I try to make.

Running 64 bit windows seven?

I’m running 64-bit Win7 too, so it’s not a problem.

If you do you should inactivate User Control thingy.

idk if this will help, but this usually happens to me whenever i either rename the vmf after its been compiled, or transfer a large amount of stuff from 1 map to another via copy/paste

I’m using Windows 7 64 bit, UAC is off. How can I run SDK in a compatibility mode, or should I?

heres a though. instead of putting your vmf on your desktop, put it in sourcesdkcontent/(config)

Nah, no need to. Do as laptopman said. Might work.

All I see in the sourcesdkcontent folder are game folders. No config.

Do I have to make that folder? I think I might have the wrong path.

Well, it really doesn’t matter, you should be able to put it anywhere but yeah try that.

Well, surprisingly there is no mapsrc in the ep2 folder…

Well make that folder and then try compiling again.

I made the folder. But it still failed.

Hmm, I have had this problem before, can’t remember the solution really, but try renaming the map. Also change where the .bsp file should be put to the gmod maps folder.

Why does garrysmod have a space in it in the last line?

Try delete all of your .bsps for your map but not the .vmf rename it to gm_gmodmap and try again.

I’m not really an expert on these kind of problems as I never get them myself, except for once.

I’m nto going to delete all my gmod maps… You crazy? And ther are no vmf’s in there.
