Could anyone help me with it? Thanks

Dumb question, but did it successfully create the .bsp on the desktop?

Error: displacement found on a(n) func_detail entity - not supported (entity 5467, brush 0)

Select all displacements and click the “ToWorld…” button on the far right.

No, it didn’t.
But, I think I need to edit Entiny 5467… how can I find an entiny then?

[editline]24th October 2011[/editline]

where can I find that toworld button? I can’t see it…

woow… the map works! Thanks man!

[editline]24th October 2011[/editline]

Now I have an other problem… The lights doesn’t work ( it’s just 100% light without light effects ) how do I fix that? It looks dumb

[editline]24th October 2011[/editline]

Nothing works, doors doesn’t, lights doesn’t wtf…
what’s wrong with it.

do you have a light_environment?

And a skybox?

Yes… and yes. a huge skybox

[editline]24th October 2011[/editline]

well, I quited mapping a year agow, and I started from today btw. I had exactly the same problem with lighting in my maps. It can’t be my computer ( new ), And I decompiled a random map, and runned it, and the lights don’t work there also… so there is something wrong with my settings.

Well, decompillilng has a tendency to fuck stuff up in the first place.

If you want to check, open up a new file, and under entities, go to the presets (forget which catagory), and put in the box. Run that and if it is still fullbright, ,it is you, if not, it is the map/decompile.

In compile setting, are you running with everything on normal?

No…

Then run everything on normal

Omg, it works :open_mouth:

Thanks man

When in doubt, set shit to normal

Alright, I made a map, but it was too dark.
I decompiled a map and recompiled it, and it was dark too…
What did I wrong now… -.-.-.-.-.-.-

check the brightness of light_env

[editline]24th October 2011[/editline]

oh hmmm

[editline]24th October 2011[/editline]

i still say check the light_env, it could have been fucked up when you decompiled the map as well

I did the same with an own made map, same problem.

[editline]24th October 2011[/editline]

and I have too muth light_env to change it…
Is it possible to let the skybox giving light or something…
it looks like its night…

[editline]24th October 2011[/editline]

W00t, I fixed the lighting. Just a camera skybox or sumthing xD
The last problem that I have

Don’t decompile a map without the creator’s permission, unless it’s a valve map for learning purposes.

I use it for learning… And looking how they make these huge maps…

The error is being caused by the fact that you decompiled it
