I have a question today regarding external packing of BSP resources.
Usually when I use tools such as PakRat or BSPZIP, the content is embedded within the BSP and this causes problems when I upload it to the workshop as dedicated servers cannot download the addon because it is simply too large.
What I would like to know is if there is a tool that can get the list of materials/models/sounds for a BSP or VMF file, select a folder in which all of these are located, scan the folder to get them, and then export them into a .zip file.
The .zip file would be extracted and would be put into a “content pack” or even split into two content packs.
Is there such a tool out there that does this?
Thank you very much for your help in advance!
** My map that I am creating has a load of resources that cannot be embedded into the BSP because it would simply cause dedicated servers not to download it; hence the BSP/addon is useless for servers.
