So trying out Rust Experimental today and serious error occured when disconnecting from server. After the disconnect my wi-fi adapter was automatically disabled for a couple minutes, when the adapter re-enabled it started to connect to a non existent ad-hoc network before finding and returning to my actual router. This is the second time this has happened, so it confirms that it’s not an anomoly. Don’t click disconnect!
Is your wireless driver up to date? Because that kind of sounds kind a driver crash.
Yes it is very up to date. Windows 8.1 64 bit TP-Link Wireless N USB Adapter. Only happens when I disconnect from a Rust server. I only play experimental so I can’t say about legacy version.
I had a wireless USB adapter before too and it had some weird issues with a certain application (can’t remember which one) because I had the wrong driver installed.
My drivers are fine. I play many other games online and thats never happened.
They seem to have noticed the problem:
